  15. in Boston. Mrs. Yawkey, who attended every home game at Fenway
  16. Park, was the widow of Tom Yawkey, the millionaire who
  17. purchased the Red Sox in 1933 and for the next five decades
  18. tried to build a World Series-winning team. Like her husband,
  19. Mrs. Yawkey never got to see the Red Sox capture the ultimate
  20. prize: Boston last won a World Series in 1918.
